For years a number of members at High Pointe Baptist Church had been driving into northeast Austin from the northwest suburbs. In early 2016 High Pointe sent us out to plant a new church in the Cedar Park/Leander area.
Now several years later, we're no longer a church plant. We're a church. Though we've grown, we're still a small church, with no building of our own. Over the years we've met in a house, a hotel, another church's youth building, and even outdoors at a worm farm! But the vast majority of those years we've been in the Cedar Park Rec Center's community rooms.
We're ordinary people. We're redeemed sinners. We know we're not yet what we should be, but we know God's Holy Spirit is gradually transforming us into Jesus' image.
Our members represent every age category from 0 to 80 and five continents of origin. We're teachers, students, retirees, entrepreneurs, home-makers, tech workers, law enforcement officers, healthcare workers, firefighters, and much more.
