Our services are simple. We worship the way the first Christians did in the Bible. We sing. We read Scripture. We pray. We celebrate baptisms and the Lord's Supper. And we hear a sermon from God's Word.
Now, we don't have a church building. We don't have pews or hymnals. Neither did the first Christians. But we gather, like them, as people redeemed by the blood of Jesus, and reconciled to God by faith.
And we do have Round Rock Donuts.
WHAT IS EXPOSITORY PREACHING?
Churches practice widely different styles of preaching. Our normal practice is to preach through books of the Bible, alternating between the Old and New Testaments. Sometimes we focus on just a few verses. Other Sundays we dig into several chapters, depending on the nature of the text. While we'll never be able to explain everything about every text, we intend to help you grasp what God says and how it applies in our age. In particular, we'll show how the passage points us to our need for Christ and our hope in him.
WHAT'S THE MUSIC LIKE?
We sing music that lets the whole congregation participate. We believe there's no instrument more beautiful than the voices of all God's people, raised together in praise to him. We aim for our singing to point—imperfectly—toward a coming day. Revelation 15 describes those who conquer, gathered together, singing the song of the Lamb:
Great and amazing are your deeds,
O Lord God the Almighty!
Just and true are your ways,
O King of the nations!
